Angeblich erhält man danach eine „erschreckend genaue“ Beschreibung, wer man ist. Und warum wir die Dinge tun, die wir tun.
Ich entscheide mich für den „genauen Test“, der etwas länger dauert. Aber ich bin neugierig, weil ich wissen will, was für ein Typ ich bin. 5 Minuten später weiß ich es:
Die Algorithmen von Boo basieren in erster Linie auf Persönlichkeitsmodellen, insbesondere auf dem Myers-Briggs-Modell (MBTI) und dem Big-Five-Modell (OCEAN).
Die Macher verwenden Persönlichkeitstypen, um uns dabei zu unterstützen, sich selbst und die anderen zu verstehen – eure Werte, Stärken und Schwächen und eure Art, die Welt wahrzunehmen.
Das bedeutet MBTI
Der MBTI ist ein Persönlichkeitsrahmen, der alle Menschen in 16 Persönlichkeitstypen einteilt. Er bietet eine Theorie dafür, wie die Persönlichkeit in Abhängigkeit davon, wie wir die Welt unterschiedlich wahrnehmen, entsteht. Er basiert auf der Arbeit des Schweizer Psychiaters Carl Jung, dem Vater der analytischen Psychologie.
Die App hat ein robustes Verifizierungssystem
Um die Anzahl an gefälschten Profilen zu minimieren, gibt es ein robustes Verifizierungssystem. Ihr könnt euch sicher fühlen, da die App eine sichere Nachrichtenübermittlung gewährleistet und gefälschte Profile schnell erkannt und entfernt werden
Boo wird euch auf der Grundlage eures Persönlichkeitstyps passende Partner empfehlen
Sobald eure Persönlichkeit bzw. das Ergebnis darüber für euch verfügbar, können Fotos hochgeladen werden (gerne bis zu 6, weil das offensichtlich eine größere Aufmerksamkeit schafft). Danach muss jede/r ein aktuelles Foto mit einer ganz bestimmten Pose hochladen, um sich somit zu verifizieren.
Sobald das erledigt ist, solltet ihr anderen NutzerInnen etwas über euch erzählen – also so eine Art Biografie über euch verfassen. Ob in einem weiteren Schritt auch die Bankverbindung und die Geheimzahl der Bankkarte abgefragt werden? Ich lasse mich überraschen.
Danach könnt ihr euren Standort freigeben – auch das tue ich nicht (alle anderen Schritte habe ich auch übersprungen), und bin fortan als Geist unterwegs und kann andere Seelen (wie die App schreibt) sehen, aber sie mich nicht. Das ist irgendwie auch fies.
Gründe für die Boo Dating App
Das Beste an Boo ist, dass es eine eingebaute Reddit/Twitter-ähnliche Social-Media-Funktion hat, mit der man Memes austauschen, sich mit neuen Leuten unterhalten und verschiedene Hobbys ganz natürlich in einem offenen Raum diskutieren kann.
Die App belohnt euch für die Teilnahme an Diskussionsforen und ermöglicht es euch so, die meisten kostenpflichtigen Funktionen kostenlos zu nutzen, indem ihr die App einfach häufig verwendet.

Ich ignoriere all das und schau, wie weit man kommt, wenn man nichts für diese Dating-App bezahlen wird. Und nach einer Stunde weiß ich: Es geht auch kostenlos – aber dann stehen einem nicht alle Features zur Verfügung bzw. seid ihr weniger „dabei“.

Die Regeln sind sehr streng in Bezug auf körperliche Angriffe, Nötigung und andere Gewaltakte. Material, das Selbstmord und Selbstverletzung fördert, verherrlicht oder nahelegt, ist ebenfalls verboten. Sicherheitshinweise zur Boo Dating App
